Barrier-Free Showers

Over 250 barrier-free shower models and configurations are available to fit your current bath space with customization options including color and accents. Choose from single or multi-piece showers, both come with an anti-slip floor finish, structurally reinforced walls with an attractive gel coat finish, and a 30 year warranty.

Walk-in Bathtubs

Rice Home Medical offers five different series of walk-in bathtubs to fit your size needs. The smallest is a narrow 26″ tub that allows accessibility into most bathrooms without major modifications, eliminating additional remodeling costs. The largest walk-in bathtub option is 45% wider than a standard walk-in tub and has a movable, hinged seat to create a recessed stepping area. All models have the option for jets and heated seats as an upgrade, are resistant to twisting and warping, and a door latch constructed of stainless steel and brass components. Air and water jets can be added for a massaging therapeutic feature.

Bathtub Cutouts

Convert your existing bath to a step-in shower in just a few hours. This bathtub cutout creates a pass through 24″ wide and approximately 8″ deep. It’s available in multiple colors to match your current bathtub color.

You can also add an insert that still allows for taking baths, but when removed it gives the same clearance as the normal tub step.

Both cutout options offer bathtub to shower conversion and can be installed by Rice Home Medical’s Home Accessibility contractor.


Barrier-free showers, walk-in bathtubs, and bathtub cutouts are private pay items and cannot be covered by insurance.
